Senior Buyer

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Purchasing of materials and products from foreign and domestic sources.

Negotiation of supply agreements and strategic competitive bidding agreements
-
Maintenance of proper procedures, documentation and data integrity
-
Management of accurate inventory levels as well as the planning and monitoring of those inventory levels and comparing those with forecasts on a consistent basis
-
Support the marketing department to leverage spending, assist with new products, and deliver productivity
Requirements:
-
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or a related field
-
Strong proven performance in purchasing including 15 years in a Buyer or Purchasing position.

Strong project management skills, ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
-
Strong negotiating skills/contracting skills
-
Excellent analytical skills, proven problem solving skills and decision making
-
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and written, with the ability to build relationships.

Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with team members, as well as outside organizations. A strong understanding of business concepts and processes

Proficient computer skills
